# Goals, timers and counters

Track follower and sub goals, count down to your start, run a subathon and count anything live.

These widgets keep your viewers in the loop and give them something to push for.

## Goal Bar

The **Goal Bar** shows progress toward a follower, sub or tip goal. Pick the goal type and target in the settings card; progress updates live from your connected channel.

## Countdown and Stopwatch

- **Countdown** counts down, perfect for Starting Soon and BRB scenes.
- **Stopwatch** counts up for uptime or speedruns.

## Subathon

The **Subathon** timer runs down and every sub or tip adds time. Set the starting time and the currency in the settings card. Subathon cannot be added to new overlays at the moment; overlays that already have it keep it. See [Subathon](/docs/widgets/subathon).

## Counter, Hearts and Challenges

- **Counter** counts deaths, wins or anything else. Change it from the editor, the [Deck](/docs/deck) or a [Stream Deck](/docs/stream-deck) key.
- **Hearts** shows lives or health for challenge runs.
- **Challenges** is a checklist your viewers can follow.
