# Moderation

Automatic chat filters with strikes, exemptions and actions from delete to ban.

PXStudioBot can keep your chat clean while you focus on the stream. It needs moderator rights in your chat for this, see [PXStudioBot](/docs/pixbot).

## Filters

In the **Moderation** tab, turn on the filters you need:

- **Banned words**
- **Links**
- **Caps lock**
- **Emote spam**
- **Symbol spam**
- Repeated characters and words, and a maximum message length

## Actions and strikes

For each filter, pick what happens: Off, Delete, Warn, Timeout, Ban or Flag. **Strikes** escalate repeat offenders step by step.

## Exemptions

**Exempt roles** (Mods, VIPs, Subs) and **Exempt users** skip the filters, so trusted viewers can post links.
