# Privacy and AI

How Pix processes your questions and what PX Studio does with them.

## What happens when you ask Pix

- Your question, the last few messages of the conversation and the docs page you are on are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), to generate the answer.
- In the docs, Pix answers from the PX Studio documentation only. It has no access to your overlays, your account data or your chat.
- Inside PX Studio, Pix can read and change your overlays, scenes, layers and bot commands with your rights when you ask it to. For that it also sends the ids of the overlay, scene and layers you have open and the overlay data it looked up to the provider. Your email address, OBS links and tokens are never sent. If you connected OBS in the editor and ask Pix about your stream, performance values and output settings of your OBS (for example CPU load, frame rate, dropped frames, bitrate, resolution, encoder and the settings of PX Studio browser sources) are sent too; never your stream key, stream server or passwords. Your display name and plan are sent only when Pix looks up your account to answer a question about it.
- We ask the provider not to store the conversation for later use. The provider may keep requests for a short time to prevent abuse, under its own terms.
- We count how many questions are asked, which tools Pix used and how many tokens they took, to keep costs and abuse in check. We do not keep the text of your questions. A confirmation card Pix prepares is kept for at most 10 minutes.
- The conversation lives in your browser tab. **New conversation** or closing the tab clears it.

## Where your data is stored

PX Studio runs on servers of IONOS in Germany: the app, the database, your uploads, the backups and our outgoing email are all there. Questions to Pix go to Anthropic (Claude) to create the answer, which can mean processing outside the EU, for example in the United States. The [privacy policy](https://pxstudio.cloud/privacy) lists every provider.

## Please do not share

Never paste passwords, OBS links, tokens or payment details into Pix. If you did, reset them: **Reset the OBS link** in the editor, or delete the token under **Settings** → **Stream Deck**.
